Akrill, Ruddock & Keyworth

Charles Akrill established his stationery business at 259 High Street, Lincoln in the 1850s.  In about 1880 he moved his business to 253 High Street.  He  also had a steam printing works on Silver Street

John William Ruddock and Edwin Keyworth became partners with Akrill and the business was  renamed  Akrill, Ruddock & Keyworth.  The business continued after Akrill's death in 1889, and the partnership between Ruddock and Keyworth was dissolved on 31 December 1898, Ruddock became the sole proprietor and, in 1904, moved the business to its present location at 287 High Street.
