R M Wright & Co LtdAlbert George Dyke established R M Wright & Co in the early 1890s. Albert's father, William, made an arrangement with his creditors in 1881, so it may be the case that Albert used his brother in law's name (Ralph Montague Wright) rather than his own to avoid unnecessary publicity.

R M Wright & Co., started out by selling cycles, they were "proprietors of the STONEBOW cycles" brand and agents for Humber, Whitworth, Sinyer, Peregrine, Swift, Hadley, Sunbeam, etc, cycles.
Their showroom on Newland featured a vehicle lift so that cars could be raised to the first floor showroom. This showroom would accommodate over 30 cars.

Re-formed as R M Wright & Co Ltd before 1919. Albert liquidated the company in 1927 shortly after the death of his wife. A new company, R M Wright (1927) Ltd was formed.
By the 1950s Wrights were main distributors for Austin motor vehicles, continuing through British Motor Corporation, the nationalised British Leyland Motor Holdings, British Leyland and the Rover Group. Unfortunately, financial health of the company was closely linked to that of its supplier. It was obvious to the owners of the company, Lincolnshire Co-operative Limited, that the Rover Group was in trouble so it was decided that R M Wright, after over 100 years of trading, would be wound up and the Lincoln premises would be re-branded as Holland Bros and the more appealing Jaguar products would be retailed.
In early 2012 Lincolnshire Co-operative Ltd sold Holland Bros to the Marshall Motor Group.
